I've been trying to find some movies that are not just good movies, but visually stunning.

This is a tough one for me because a lot of the movies I like, I don't think need to be seen in 4k.

Last of the Mohicans with Daniel Day Lewis..
I don't know if it's available in 4K, but it was filmed in the Smokey Mountains in North Carolina
Its a good movie that was very well filmed.

I own that movie and love it.  It's an oldie by todays standards, but a really good movie. Last of the Mahicans is another good one.

The first one goes without saying.

Both are awesome. It took forever for them to release the 1st one on BluRay though so it may not be available in 4k

A far as graphics go, Avatar would likely be good to watch in 4K.

I bought the movie "Fury".  I figure that should be a good one.

I watched Nosferatu. That would probably be amazing, but I didn't like the movie.

If you want to see the original cut of Star Wars in 4K, this is the last word, IMO. These guys scoured for any source material they could find from before the special editions and rescanned the whole movie. I think I have 160+GB of Star Wars now, from all the current restoration versions. Pretty good read on that site too, shows you the differences between this version and the BluRay release, for example.

This is the ONE. If you saw it at the theatre during the first run, and you are a fan, you'll be very happy having seen this. I think you have to get it as a torrent, but well worth the effort.

I saw it in 1977, many times. The sound system was mind blowing. That was during a time when my friends and I liked to trip and watch cars go down the freeway from his deck (the tail lights would leave long trails of light). Star Wars was so much better.
