Tyler, it's great to hear from you again. I hope all is well.

Not making a profit, can be a good thing. Profits are taxed. Thats one thing I learned from my father before I took over the business, the art of minimizing taxes.

It's when the "art of minimizing taxes" is used to avoid giving your employees raises that it becomes an issue?

I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

I don't see "Minimizing Taxes" and not paying your employees an appropriate wage connected.  :headscratch:

I worked for a company that did exactly that. They would do everything they could to mask profits and then tell their employees that they couldn't afford to give raises. Not even cost of living raises. I know that's what they were doing because I became friends with the foreman after I left. He was the son-in-law of the shop owner. We got drunk and he told me all of the shit they were doing and why they were doing it.

This was back in the early 90's.  I don't know if some of the things they did would be possible today?

I don't recall complaining about the government taking all my money. I think for a commoner, I navigated the tax code well enough.

You and your fellow leftist ilk lack of reading comprehension is just fucking staggering.

My failures as a business owner were my own. And I do not regret that endeavor for one second.

Gaging from your boos,  I'd say you have never been in the arena.

You know you're right, I don't have the experience of running and failing my own business - maybe I shouldn't be president.

Hey thanks - good to see you guys too, (well most of you). Metric for my life right now is how the wife's health is. So right now, this week, this month, this year, I'm doing spectacular.

Great to hear! My daughter was diagnosed with Lymphoma in September, and I know exactly what you mean by that. She was just given the all clear on Good Friday. (which was a really GOOD friday) still dealing with the after effects of the chemo but we are in celebration mode, here.

I'm super sorry to hear that, but glad she was given the clear. The after affects can be rough, but what a difference.
My spouse had a form of likely lymphoma,  Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia/Lymphoma because they can't really prove if it's one or the other (either starts in the marrow and affects the blood or starts in the blood and affects the marrow).
Did your daughter have the chest tumor? That part was scary

the chest tumor was how they found it. 4 days after having a baby, she had a rapid heart beat, they thought it might be post partum hyper-clampsia. When they did an xray they found the tumor growing near heart. It was a whirlwind after that and a newborn to raise, but it would be hard to even know where to start describing all of the blessings we saw through it.

You can't be POTUS. You aren't a Natural Born US  Citizen (thank goodness, we don't need a Justin Trudeau running the show here), so there's that.

Better to have tried and failed than to never tried at all. Not trying at all is THE REAL failure
