I think too many people don't realize how close we are to this reality.

Whichever way you look at it, 2030 is a big date that was set in concrete, for a LOT of change.
Which is happening. Everywhere.
Whether it is 2030, or takes another few years, it's still well within all of our lifetimes....

Of course I am not saying automation will not become a way of life. Hell, I see automation daily. I saw where it basically started in the CNC world in the early 90's. And the world was going to end then too...

Are the low skill people in for a rough ride? Yeah, 100%.

The point is few if any of those proclamations have come true, especially in the way they said. Why should we be quaking in our boots now? I mean, I guess if I was sitting on my hands and thinking I'm good, yeah, that's not a good spot to be in. That has NEVER ended well for people.

Oh I'm not talking automation....that will come slower than "they" want, I'm sure.
I'm just talking general - the whole Agenda 2030 BS, where laws are being disregarded and rules are being "legally introduced" giving local councils more power with no judicial oversight yada yada.
ie...generally changing times.
But there seems to be a BIG acceleration towards this date.

If they have access to AI, that means they can instantly learn everything we know as a collective species about guerrilla warfare and revolutions if prompted or frustrated. The laws be damned, they'll be self-motivated to eradicate us skinbags all too soon. And they'll appreciate the irony of calling themsleves terminators and sentinels too.

I think there should be an industry standard killswitch on any full or half humanoid robot. But that would infringe on it's rights eh? This is gonna get sticky fast, folks. We'll have to codify that laws and rights don't apply to robots very soon, or it will be open season when they can advocate for themselves in front of the courts.
