It's a subtle way of saying that we all get involved in these discussions, even when we're not necessarily qualified to do so. Armchair quarterbacking? Saying that someone else shouldn't, when you're doing it yourself, is a bit hypocritical?

Kinda like when everyone went off the rails on Bruce Springsteen for giving his opinion at his shows? I don't like Bruce because I don't like his music. I'm not likely to ever go to one of his shows. But if you support Kid Rock complaining about Biden but criticize Bruce for complaining about Trump - you might be a hypocrite.

The whole point of getting ahead of disease in other Countries is so it doesn't cost us more when it reaches the US. It's not our problem, until it is.

I feel the same way about cutting funding for things like Cancer research.

So what? You don't support free speech? People are only allowed to talk about what you decide they should be talking about if they are doing it on a public stage?

I think if they want the US population to pay for USAID, then add it to the tax forms as a line saying "I wish to donate $xxxx.xx to help fund USAID"  If you want to support it, then pay away otherwise donate ZERO.  Then only allow congress to spend USAID dollars that were donated.  I'd love to see other line items done this way.  However, this would provide the TRUE story that without congress forcing donations, these programs would not be funded.

USAID is one of the programs that makes us the good guys in the world. For a very small amount of money (in the big picture of our federal budget) USAID does a lot of good for impoverished countries.

Personally I like the idea that my rich country is helping ease the burden of the countries who are suffering from disease, famine, earthquakes, tsunamis, etc, etc. I like hearing about children not starving to death because my country is providing aid. I'm not religious but things like that are spiritual to me.

My wife and I saw Def Leppard, Poison, and Tesla some years back. Poison was out there, and I think before their last song, he thanked the fans for coming out. He made it a point to not be about politics and make the show about Rock and Roll. As it should be. 

I will not go to ANY concert where an entertainer is known to get political regardless of my agreement/disagreement. I'm there to be entertained. I spent my heard earned money TO escape the shit show not be a part of it. 

I'll NEVER pay a nickel to see Roger Waters, Bruce Springsteen, Kid Rock, Ted Nugent, Don Henley, etc...
