i just can't see the government leaving all that interest on a roth untaxed. I get it that you contributed with taxed income but so is what you place in your bank account and they still want you to claim that interest. They'll be a day
that they will tax all that accumulated interest in Roths, 50 microbucks.

Interesting thing I've learnt; even though there is a $7000ish limit on personal roth contributions, you can if your employer plan allows, also have after tax contributions in your 401k. Nice way to double up on Roth and get that tax free growth. If you leave the job, you can dump those funds into your personal Roth. No backdoor required 😜
I'll have to check out the personal Roth. Right now I'm getting good money from Blackrock. If possible I would like to transfer my 401k to their system.

If you're still working, an in-service rollover is not usually allowed with workplace 410k.
Not aware of a black rock brokerage, so guessing you mean investing in one of their many funds.. which is where workplace 401ks suck in the available funds. On top of that mutual funds (most 401k) are actually really crappy on expenses some of which are hidden. Buyer beware.

I'm not sure of the process here.
