This is the kind of shit that happens when you don't read the fine print and uncheck that little box that says "make this a monthly recurring donation".    I know that he wouldn't do something like this on purpose?

All campaigns issue refunds, and for various reasons, like contributing more than the allowed amount.

But a New York Times investigation found that a large amount of the refunds came after donors complained to their banks and credit card companies of unauthorized withdrawals from their accounts. The investigation found that it was part of an intentional effort to boost revenues for the Trump campaign and WinRed, the for-profit company that processed the donations.

I donated to the Trump Campaign via WinRed.
There was a clear and prominent check box that said "Make this a recurring donation",
and more check boxes for weekly, biweekly or monthly donations.
If you checked that box, you got an email 24 hours before the next donation
letting you know they were going to charge your credit card again.
Anyone claiming this is fraud, it either an idiot or so consumed by TDS that they cannot or will not see the truth.

I don't know how much credence anyone from the right would give to a report coming from the NY Times, but they made it sound as if the people who donated were the same who complained of fraud when they noticed that their cards were being charged again. Idiots? Probably. Especially if they didn't bother to pay attention to what they were doing.
