My point was, at some point (notice my original question to you was in past tense), 70% of the US public got the vaccination. It could be more than that. I was shooting low. I remember this being important because they kept talking about needing a 70% vaccination rate to equal herd immunity, and then they moved the goal posts after that number was reached.

When the subject arises in conversation with my mate, I'll say "you want to stay away from anymore jabs" and he just laughs, and then says "yes, it's a worry".
Every time.
He has had a few other things that could be linked, (his brother too) since 2020, yet he also "needed to fly" on holiday.... etc.
I have come to the conclusion that in certain cases, people bury their head in the sand because at the time they feel okay, so nothing will happen to them, and also because cognitive bias - either they cannot be wrong, or the gov wouldn't do it to them.

I would never try to convince anyone that they should or shouldn't be getting vaccinated, and I certainly wouldn't recommend taking unsolicited advice from people not qualified to give it. That's between them and their doctor.
