I did shoot a 10lb bucket of tannerite with the lords caliber- 308 that was quite the boom

An 8 year old Anaheim girl was killed on the 4th.

A large mortar launched badly and hit a cache of fireworks on the sidewalk.

The cache exploded killing the girl. The homeowner hosting the party was arrested for murder.

My unlit fireworks are usually so far away from the festivities, it would be virtually impossible for more than one to ignite. I've usually got 3 fire extinguishers readily available in case 2 fail. And a bucket of water. 

Mortars should ALWAYS be stabilized. I usually use a few cinder blocks to keep things pointed in the right direction. 

Fireworks are no joke. Especially mortars. 500+ grams of high exosives can have a devastating effect if proper precautions are not taken.

I don't think anywhere in California allows mortar style fireworks except for profession permitted displays. 

The DA will get that conviction.  I only wish they would go after drunk drivers that hard.
