I can't think of a single emergency in the last 20 years that didn't somehow become politicized. The nuance of the situations don't matter. People only need enough information to justify focusing blame on their political opponent/party.

My point was that I thought it was in poor taste when DJT used the LA fires to dunk on his political opponents, and I consider it equally shabby to see some Dems do essentially the same thing re the Texas floods!

"Wild Fires" are without a doubt a "man-made" condition. Wild Fires in Lost Angeles and Kommieforniastan are direct policy problems. Other states, I can;t speak to as authoritatively as I can about The People's Republik of Kommieforniastan.
