It's difficult to get used to the change from live tv to streaming. It took me about a year to adjust.

I was a channel surfer. With streaming, you have to commit to a show.

I probably spend the most time on tubi. It has live local news for a few hours a day.

It has a lot of really bad movies with some really good ones sprinkled in and they rotate quite a bit.

I saw one last week called Keeping Mum with Rowan Atkinson.  :lol: For some reason I like some of those bad movies.

I was watching Bernie Mac for a bit too. I forgot how funny that show was.

A decent antenna, provided you don't live in a way remote place, will get you your local channels. One time cost well under $100. I'm about 50 miles away from the nearest translator, and I get something like 50 channels. I only watch 3 or 4 though.

I haven't had any "pay" tv for something like 15 years. Antenna, Amazon & Netflix has more shit than I could watch in several lifetimes.  I will rarely watch Tubi, and even that has more options than I can deal with.

I do miss the days when Netflix was the only game in town. With all the competition a lot of the moves migrated over to other apps and I refuse to pay for a bunch of apps that I might use for an hour or 2 a month.

I have never seen Colbert be funny. And I am not a Trumper. He panders to a specific audience and I am not part of it. I want jokes and puns and silliness,not crass political insults.  Letterman was funny. Conan is funny. John Stewart has his moments. Everytime i tried to watch Colbert was a disappointing waste of time. He is a condescending slimy ass. His cock holster comment was a low point in the history of American television entertainment.

Back in the Jon Stewart days I saw him do some funny interviews.

Once he went out on his own I didn't find the humor in him.

Before his night gig, Colbert would mock right wing loonies in a way they would think he was on their side and they wouldn't even know they were being mocked. It was pretty funny.

I haven't seen any of his late night stuff. I was surprised to see it was the top rated night show. :shrug:
