Have you ever read any articles or books on corporate greed? If you haven't, try it.

I'd tell you to look at what's going on in government right now, but I don't think that would accomplish anything.

I am 68. I have a couple of options as far as insurance goes. I stay on my employers insurance so my wife will be covered until she reaches Medicare age. I contribute to a Health Savings Account.  My employer makes a lump sum contribution annually as well. This helps pay for deductibles, copays for medicine or any health-related expenditure, including over the counter stuff. However, contributing to an HSA makes me ineligible for medicare. I believe I could decline the HSA and use medicare but then I would have to absorb all of the costs I just mentioned. I do anyway, but the money I use is not taxed with the HSA and comes out along with my insurance. My deductible is $6000 for in network and $6000 for out of network and, after my last adventure, I am on 14 different medications. Plus, my wife will need knee replacement surgery at some point in the near future. All that being said, the HSA money does not cover all of my out of pocket expenses.

I have to use the HSA for the next year when I hope to be retired. I may have made a tactical mistake continuing with the HSA, I don't know.

I'm not really concerned about bankruptcy. I'll just see how much I owe when the dust settles and go from there.
The 14 medications does not include the 2 types of insulin I take now.

Every R gets all worked up about Nancy Pelosi making millions upon millions in insider trading, but you never hear them ask what did the corps get for all that insider info?

I ask for specifics and you insult my intelligence.

How is that insulting your intelligence? We're having a discussion about corporate greed, and your line of questioning is as if you have no clue what someone is talking about when they bring it up. I almost feel like you're insulting my intelligence by acting like you can't think of any examples of it without me handing them to you.

Insulin price gouging ring a bell?

I start to wonder why when one of you guys say "you'll own nothing and like it" everyone cheers and agrees with it. When I say it, you say "give me some examples of what you mean by that".

As far as the political comment goes, I assume that you agree with what's going on in our government right now. You voted for it. I don't and I know that you're not going to agree with me on it.

BTW, whose intelligence were you insulting when you said, "if you want to expose a fool, ask a simple question."

The percentage of GDP that comprises the lower incomes, when adjusted for inflation, has not stayed consistent. Likewise the incomes of the top earners has grown at an astronomical rate. The expanding wealth/income gap is the end result of an overall trend of greed. Greed is the root cause and individual specifics are the symptom. There is an infinite number of ways for greed to manifest, trying to focus one specific is like those churches that get hyper focused on specific sins and forget who God is, who we are, and why we need Jesus.

IMHO that is the reason for the system, and the related control

For one, I did not vote in the last election, i've mentioned that before.

2nd thank you for mentioning insulin at least that is specific. It doesn't apply to me, but at least it is specific. maybe when you said billionaires are trying to take everything i have, you were speaking in hyperbole.

The robots that you are programming are making your own boss wealthier while eliminating potential jobs for machine operators. Are you conflicted in that?

Two things just to be clear. :D  When I say "they want your stuff", I didn't mean you specifically. It was meant as a generalization, as in all of us who are not them. And I don't just mean billionaires specifically.

It's easy to reduce this to a class warfare argument, and that isn't where I'm going with it. I highly doubt that's YoDougs intent

it would have been hard for me to take that any other way than a class warfare argument. there is nuance, then, that I am missing.
