I read an article that was claiming a lot of the arrest and guns seized were actually non-gang, clean record people that started illegally carrying because it has gotten so unsafe they felt they had no choice. If that is true I have a problem with prosecuting them.

I have a big problem with gun free cities that are rampant with crime prosecuting good decent citizens that carry for safety. If I lived/worked in Chicago/DC and had to choose between my safety or illegally carrying, I would probably illegally carry.

However I have a bigger problem with gun free cities and concealed carry laws in general. Constitutional carry should law of the land. As it says "Shall not be infringed". When government fails to act to keep people safe, the second amendment is there for people to keep themselves safe.

The US Constitution IS The Supreme Law of the land or it is not. I guess you are saying it is not.  

"Keep" and "Bear" arms are two very specific terms. "Keep" means to "own or possess". "Bear" means to "have on your person".
