How exactly did the Buckeyes "shit the bed" exactly?

We're the national champions.

At Michigan this year (I'm marking my calender)

Not necessarily this year in particular, but it's a habitual thing. 

Schmuckeys, Notre Lame, Alabama squeak by a team they should beat handily and move up or stay the same in the polls. USC beats a team or two handily, and they stay the same or drop. You know it. I know it. We all know it. Schmuckeyes, Notre Lame and Alabama are CFB's darlings and can do no wrong... even when they lose.

You got nothing at this point of the season. I have full bragging rights. OSU trounced every team in the 16 team playoff. We start off this year playing the #1 ranked team going into this season and easily win (the game wasn't as close as the 14-7 score, we dominated them)

At Michigan. A must win for us. Gotta beat those bums (never easy up north...throw out the records: like last year).

Yes... both games. USC outscored their opponents in the two games 132 to 33.

But that's how it goes for USC... every. single. year. Win... stay even or drop. Lose... and get erased.

Why are you so bothered by that? Just win enough games to get in the playoffs would be the main goal. Who cares about polls this early in the season?

The chances of making the playoffs going into week 3 unranked are slim at best even if we win out... which would be pretty unlikely. Chances are we'll drop a game, maybe two.

The Buckeyes played the #1 ranked team (now we are). You have NOTHING James. Hard to trash talk a team that won the national championship (lost a ton of stud players to the draft) and... is currently ranked #1.

Week two is over.  Everyone on the field had hussle last Sat, and that's what I like to see.  If we can get some more off the injured list, we may only have a two or three loss regular season.

If any team has the bonafides to heap some scorn on Alabama, it is USC. Ask Bear Bryant about USC. I'm sure his ass is STILL sore from that epic beat down... and he's been dead for decades.

When you have a once every few generations coach, and that coach retires, reality sets in and you REALLY understand not all coaches are created equal. NOBODY wants to be the coach after Saban... or even two coaches after that.

Pete Carroll was that coach for us. We had not that level of success (multiple Nattys and Multiple Heisman trophies) since the 1960's and 1970's... Coach McKay and Coach Robinson's tenure (his 1st stint).

Will Lincoln Riley be that guy? I think this year will be the tell.

I never once said we played a powerhouse team. I said essentially wins like that deserve moving up in rank, not down. 

I dunno... you trash talked up in the Pete Carroll days when we were kicking everyone's ass. 

All I'm saying is you Luckeyes enjoy a certain level of favoritism regardless of how things are going... and when the press is in the bag for you like they are for the Schmuckeyes, Menstrual Tide and Notre Lame, it kinda pisses me off. 

Laugh all you want, but just admit it... the press is in the bag for the Luckeyes and if they were to drop an game or two I guarantee you won't drop out of the top 10... because you're the darlings and can do no wrong. USC has ALWAYS had to scratch and claw for rank... and even harder to keep it. Hell.. we win and still drop.
