I was a little surprised that people who acted so outraged in the Charlie Kirk thread, would then come in to this one, even if joking, and make cracks about "shots" and ".223". I expect that from Incog because he's a lunatic manchild who doesn't have enough brains to have a filter.

It does bother me that people can be so hateful, but that's their prerogative.

This has been bothering me since I figured it out. Not because I don't expect something like this from Incog, but more because I messaged him about it to let him know that I was at the end of my rope with him and to give him a chance to explain himself and apologize.

He ignored my message and not only did he not apologize, he spent the next two weeks making sarcastic comments to, and about, me on the forum. I'm at the point where if he doesn't care, then I care even less.

I don't need the added stress of having to deal with someone like that.

If there's one thing I don't get about this forum (actually, I see this on many/most web forums, sadly) it's folks who don't merely take issue with other's philosophies/tastes/political leanings-they go beyond that and resort to personal attacks. I've never really been able to understand this, let alone condone it as a way to go forth in the world.

Even if you do "win" an argument, what do you actually "win"? Bragging rights? A hot chick? The grand prize? Is it good for business?

Is it so hard to simply debate ideas, so we skip the high road and lead with insults and derision? Maybe our ideas aren't demonstrably better so we've just gotta slug it out?
