"Accessory after the fact" is a real crime. And DA's tend to go after that kind of thing as it's not crazy difficult to prove given how connected our society is.

People don't get that.

Utah is one of the few, if not the only, state where an accessory to aggravated murder can get the death penalty. Depends on the level of involvement. I do not think they've ever actually executed anyone for it. Likely more of a, 'Hey, tell us what you know and we'll take the death penalty off the table', kinda thing.

I don't know how people are still dumb enough to go airing every ignorant, repulsive thought they have on social media thinking that it's not going to somehow eventually come back and bite you in the ass. Especially if you work for a company that doesn't want to be seen as a place who would employ someone who thinks like that.

I don't think any of the people who are rejoicing in Kirk's death should be de-banked or even de-platformed from social media. by all means let's see what the left really believes and reject it or accept it. I have found this to be entirely enlightening.  People who are against the death penalty are excited about his assassination, I'm seeing this, not in newspapers but with people I know. People who say they are anti-hate, say they are glad he's dead. And people who have thrown the denier label on almost every aspect of daily life are now denying that he is left wing. I say, let them keep talking. But I am very glad that my grandkids are homeschooled. that seems more and more obvious all the time to me.

All these kids have known for most of their lives is Conservatives are evil, nazi, racist, homophobic, etc...
It's been driven into their heads everyday for the last decade.
The media, the professors, the social media bubbles all of them are at fault. And yet they're STILL trying to blame this on the right.

Not many options unfortunately.
But they can start by removing bullshit classes like social justice and gender studies.
The U.S. curriculum needs a serious overhaul from Kindergarten to College.
