i don't get what the left's fascination with Charlie was. Seems to me liberals are/were far more aware of him than most of the conservatives I know were. Some of those liberals came quote some of his talking points, I am not aware of any conservatives than can.

My point being....If I don't like a show I am watching, I turn the shit off. Bad movie? I walk out. I don't sit and suffer through watching shit I don't enjoy. Do liberals have a self punishment fetish where they force themselves to listen/watch shit they don't like?

We read the first two in HS, and I read "Atlas Shrugged" about 15 years ago (I agree heartily with your brief summary), though I haven't read any other Ayn Rand stuff. We did watch "The Fountainhead"....all of this stuff about the lone hero is a little over the top for me; how much of real life really works that way?
