Looks like some nice new features in there.

I opened Mastercam last December for the first time in a while (had to help a customer out). Hah, It took me a while to find some of the commands again, and I was doing a lot of ghost clicking :)

I spent some time last week programming a part in both TS and MC.  It's a 4th axis LARGE titanium clevis.

I programmed the part in about half the time in TS and was able to simulate some extras that I can't do in MC.  lol.  I still fumble in TS and it was still faster.

I've been experimenting with the Blade machining function in TS (that is coming out in the new version). Works really well, and I was impressed with how quick it was to generate a really nice complete impeller machining set of toolpaths. I benchmarked it against someone I know that programmes a lot of impellers. I did it in half the time, and I dont programme impellers at all :)

Those unified multi-axis paths posted on EMC look interesting.

We installed it on all our computers at work already, now I will see what the guinea pigs will do with it.
Some of our other programming departments are still making the jump from x9 today.

When I started my current job in 2007
Mastercam was at X2, but the other 2 programmers were using V9
One old school guy didn't get off V9 till X7.
I'd tried to talk him into moving up for years to no avail.
One day after listening to him crash and cuss and crash and cuss doing a really tough 5X part in V9
I took his mouse away from him, opened his file in X7, took 2 minutes building a Module Works
5X toolpath and let it crunch.
He said "Oh" and never looked at V9 again.

gcode, teh legend!

You know that was the year I started programming, I was 17,
I thought it was x% I started with, but looking at my book from IHS, it says x2 on it.

     I started using Mastercam on X2.

We purchased MC right at the beginning of X and had both V9 and X installed for a few years before we reluctantly moved to MC. When I say reluctantly, I mean the guys on the floor.  Not in the front office.

I started pulling assemblies in to X2 that I had been working on in Cimatron.   It was a memory leaking crash fest.   :D

I didn't start having confidence in MC until about X6.  I think that if I had started on V9 I would have given it more of a chance.
