I can only speak for myself but I've gotten a flu shot every year for the last 43 years and you know how many times I got the flu?

I got the flu a few times when I was getting the shots. I quit getting them when they changed over to the dead virus blend and haven't had the flu since that point in time.

Zero in the last 40 years. I was 12 at the time. And from memory only about twice before that.

I remember one year my boss was hounding me to get a flu shot.  I've never had a flu shot. I have had the flu on average about every other year.

The year he hounded me to get the shot; he got the shot and got the flu. I didn't get the shot and never got the flu.   

Man did I have fun with that one.
