Honestly, I think it's already too late to stop it.
It's being integrated into everything now.

Fortunately we have the most brilliant minds in DC to counter Artificial Intelligence with Ludicrous intelligence.

Bit off topic but... (unless AI kills us first, I suppose)

(He talks about AI, also, so not off topic!)

A conversation I just had with ChatGpt:

What do you think is the likelihood of a technological singularity?

As an AI language model, I do not have personal beliefs or opinions, but I can provide information and insights based on current research and expert opinions.

The idea of a technological singularity, which refers to the hypothetical event of artificial intelligence surpassing human intelligence, has been a topic of discussion among futurists and researchers for several decades. While some experts believe that such an event is inevitable, others argue that it is unlikely or even impossible.

One challenge in predicting the likelihood of a technological singularity is the lack of a clear definition of what it entails. Some envision it as a sudden, explosive growth in AI capabilities, while others see it as a more gradual process of technological evolution. Additionally, there are many uncertainties about the nature and capabilities of future AI systems.

However, it is generally agreed that continued advances in AI and related fields could have profound and far-reaching implications for society, the economy, and the environment. It is therefore important for researchers and policymakers to carefully consider the potential risks and benefits of AI and to work towards developing responsible and ethical AI systems.

IMO, just like any new technology, those with power and money will look to exploit any new technology to gain more money and power, even at the detriment to society and the future. I see humans influence over AI as a more realistic threat than AI itself. Humans will use AI to enslave mankind long before Skynet decides it needs to remove humans. In fact, it may be those grossly immoral and unethical actions of humans that teach AI to despise humans.

We can't get real intelligence right....artificial intelligence should scare the bejesus out of us until such time as it doesn't want to wipe out humanity every time it's asked

Even AI is warning us about AI.

Will AI become self aware? (me)

(ChatGpt)As an AI language model, I don't have personal beliefs or opinions, but I can provide information and insights based on current research and expert opinions.

The question of whether AI can become self-aware is still a matter of debate and speculation among experts in the field. Self-awareness is generally considered to be a complex and multifaceted trait that involves not only the ability to perceive and process information, but also the ability to reflect on one's own thoughts and experiences.

While AI systems have made significant progress in recent years in areas such as natural language processing, image recognition, and decision-making, they currently lack the kind of self-awareness and consciousness that humans possess. However, some researchers and futurists have proposed that it may be possible to develop AI systems that are capable of self-awareness in the future.

One approach to developing self-aware AI is to simulate the structure and function of the human brain using artificial neural networks. This approach, known as neuromorphic computing, aims to create AI systems that can mimic the way the brain processes information and potentially lead to the development of more intelligent and adaptive AI systems.

However, it is important to note that developing self-aware AI raises important ethical and societal questions, such as how we define and treat artificial life forms that may exhibit human-like qualities. Therefore, any progress in this area must be accompanied by thoughtful consideration of the potential risks and benefits of such systems.

The Real Question????

If We gave somebody in Kentucky AI..... :o

Would they figure out how to use it?? ;D
