Dumb question, how do you recover something that deep in the ocean? I know my fishing pole wouldn't have enough line to get that deep.

Yeah I noticed that a few days ago. I've been wondering if that was a "sacrificial" layer because there is lighting strips behind it as well.

A video from  YouTuber (Dallmyd) who was on the vessel shortly before it went missing. A very interesting perspective.

One thing he mentioned is Titan got caught in a ghost net a couple weeks ago, damaging it.

They did no NDI (non-destructive inspection) on the carbon fiber hull to check for voids or imperfections. A large part of our workload is for this kind of testing.
