We already had Camplete for a post for a Yasda we had bought a few years ago. I never got a chance to use it because I never programmed anything for that machine. But if you mentioned Camplete around the couple guys who did program for it, they'd always complain about how non-user-friendly it was.

We ended up getting a Postibility Yasda post and cutting Camplete about a year ago. I always wondered if Camplete was actually not user friendly, or if the guys who used it were just old dogs who had a tough time learning new tricks.

Early versions of Camplete were not user friendly, but that is going back 10+ years. The new versions, once you have things dialed in, require almost zero user intervention. It is almost automatic.

Glad I'm not those guys... old, dogs that refuse to learn new tricks. What a crappy life. I can't even imagine that kind of life. It would suck ass.

The lead programmer when I started here in 2007 was still using V9.
Mastercam was at X2 then. He refused to even look at it cause he hated the interface.

In 2011 still running V9 he was getting his butt kicked by a nasty 5X  project.
V9 kept throwing zero byte crashes and taking forever to regen bad toolpaths.
After 3 days of yelling and smashing his mouse on the desk he finally agreed to look at X6.
I opened his file, tweaked a couple of things in the toolpath that was causing him trouble,
defined an stl file as stock and hit regen.
About a minute later he said "Oh!".
He left V9 behind after that.
Mike was a really good programmer, but he ate off the roach coach, smoked 2 packs a day and
spent his paychecks at the local watering hole. The died in 2012 of walking pneumonia that turned
septic.
