I always approach an argument with the fact that I could be wrong. And that causes me to respect the people I disagree with. But if I'm wrong,I want to error on the side of life. Or in machinists terms, metal safe.

That's true. A baby isn't a teenager for the first 12 years either. But age should not determine who is allowed to live. If you want to use science to determine when a human being is a human being, conception is the only point that makes sense.

The egg will remain an egg indefinitely. So will the sperm. But at the moment of conception. Both the sperm and the egg become something they were not. At that point it has distinctive DNA from both parents and the potential for growth that it didn't have before.

I'm willing to give a little. I would concede whatever government funding or taxes was required to help a pregnant woman and her baby have life. Right now my wife and I contribute significant money to a home that helps pregnant mothers with their babies and education/employment.

The problem is the leftists NEVER give anything. EVER! They take all day long everyday and twice on Sundays because they are Godless and immoral.

To the leftists, a raise is a cut and letting yiu maintain a right is giving you something. Why? Cause your "you" is theirs. All your money is theirs,  all your rights are theirs, and when they feel charitable, they'll let you have a little morsel of your earnings back, and spend a shitload of money sending you letters in the mail talking about how benevolent they are for giving some of what they stole from you back.

The abortion argument has been settled by the Supreme Court as a tenth Amendment right in which is the correct choice in my opinion. While I hate the right to abort living fetuses, each State also has the right to make their laws as they see fit. That's not good enough for the lefties though. They won't be happy until all States are forced into abortion rights. We need to make sure this never happens.
