I'm not sure where you get your popcorn from, but the stuff we eat comes from corn. I don't eat it very often because it really isn't good for you the way I like it. I like to pop it on the stove in coconut oil and put a little avocado butter and salt on it. Generally I try not to use any oils when cooking so I don't eat popcorn very often.

Years ago coconut oil was considered very unhealthy. Now it is all the rage.  
Fun fact, coconut oil is the only vegetable saturated fat and has a nearly unlimited shelf life.
