Cooler heads prevailed and the charges were dropped.

I still think Scheffler deserves HUGE props for still posting a round of 5 under par after being booked and released the same day.

Man, Rory choked again. 10 years of wanting him to win a big one and he just can't seem to do it.

Bryson played out of his mind, missed damn near every fairway and battled. He deserved that win.
Not his biggest fan, but he's growing on me.

Oh man...the extreme PGA fanboi announcers were practically openly rooting for Rory to win, and throwing quite a bit of the unspoken LIV shade at Bryson.

If you read the story about Brad Faxon's comments last week about Rory's putting it turned out to be the ultimate irony that Rory missed a short putt on the last hole to tie.  Brad's facial expression sitting at the announcer's table after Rory lost made you think he just lost his best friend.
It was actually painful to watch.

I kinda like Bryson simply because he is somewhat of a maverick, although his putting stroke looks to me to be so mechanical that it looks almost painful! 
But he made the putts he needed when he needed them, and that's how you win U.S. Opens. 

Yeah I also like Rory alot because I think he's just a decent guy.

I think he had the right read on that last putt, and hitting it a just touch harder would have made it.
But none of us will ever know that kind of pressure, and sometimes the best players in the world just miss putts they would easily make the other 99% of the time.

His overall game was great, so I think he still might win another major or two before he is finished playing.

First, Brad Faxon was and is one of THEE best putters on the planet, so mad props to him. 

Yeah he is kind of Rory's informal putting coach, and there was a story in the press last week about Brad saying that Rory found something in his putting stroke after Muirfield.
When the media asked him about it he kind of seemed a little miffed at Brad for mentioning it, but I don't think he was actually mad at him.

So because of that little incident, Brad had even more reason to want to see that last putt drop for Rory, and I think he was in shock when it didn't, and that opened the door for Bryson to win the tournament with a par.
