The late 70's before Reagan were absolutely brutal. I remember sitting in the car fwith my dad or hours waiting for gas... oh, and we could only get gas on certain days depending on the last digit of the car's license plate. Interest rates higher then than they are today. Runaway inflation.

Barry... although an atrotious POTUS... did more do divide this nation than anyone short of Malcom X, I think I still have to give the Incontinent Octogenarian the nod for worst POTUS.

Though you can put some of the blame on the pandemic.

Biden would have inherited an amazing economy if it hadn't been for Covid.  All of the spending that caused inflation is blamed on Biden but if you look back at spending in Trumps last year, he contributed to the problem. Probably the best thing that happened to Trump was that he didn't get re-elected or the consequences of covid would have fallen on his back. Who knows how it would have turned out.    I guess it couldn't be any worse than it is now?

As bad as Carter was as president, I think he was/is one of the best ex-presidents. Stayed out of the limelight, volunteered, led a pretty humble life afterwords.
