I used to be like that, too. I finally realized the fear mongers in Christianity were twisting scripture to control me. I was always worried about sinning, worried about not being good enough, worried about the 2nd coming, worried about all my personal faults. It got exhausting until I finally realized that was NOT what Christianity was supposed to be about. It is supposed to be about positive transformation becoming our best as we become like Christ, not a long list of negatives and fears and such.

Sounds like you moved from a religion to a relationship.  
I know that sounds trite, but I believe it is a true statement.

I think once we realize we are all 'works in progress' we begin to see things differently.  That positive transformation (or we can call it sanctification) is a life-long process where we often feel like we take one step forward and two steps back in our spiritual walk.  I thank God every day that He is not finished working on me, no matter how many times I resist change and make wrong choices.  His mercy endures forever! (Psalm 118:1)

NEW YORK (AP) — This is the deadliest year in U.S. history, with deaths expected to top 3 million for the first time — due mainly to the coronavirus pandemic.

Final mortality data for this year will not be available for months. But preliminary numbers suggest that the United States is on track to see more than 3.2 million deaths this year, or at least 400,000 more than in 2019.
