Traditionally the election results were the best gauge for how accurate pollsters were. Now with mail-in-fraud polls are less accurate for the presidential race overall. Another point of contention about the legitimacy of the 2020 election was polling in 43 states was fairly accurate, generally within the same margins as previous elections. In 7 swing states, polling was all over the board and wrong.

I find the betting sites are more accurate than the polls. At least they are more fun to look at. The weekend before Biden quit Harris was at +2000 to be president ($100 wins you $2000)
The day he dropped the odds changed to +500
Current odds are even for both Trump & Harris at -110 ($110 wins you $100)

I was going to put money on Harris at +500, but missed doing so.

I got a survey call on my cellphone last spring and participated, just because I was curious about how they ask them. Some of the questions were so dumb, I wondered all through the phone call who wanted this poll.

I seriously wonder if the people that create these polls are the sam epeople that create surveys for local government when they "are looking for input..." "... on community needs."

I've answered about a dozon of those in my life as a homeowner. They are worded in such a way as to purposefully get their desired result. 100% of the time.

My favorite survey question of all time has to be, "The city is facing a budget defecit of X%. If you could choose where to cut funding which of 1 of these 4 would it be; a)Fire Services, b)Law Enforcement, c)Planning, or d)City Maintenance

I shit you not, that was the survey. I sent a nasty e-mail to the mayor for that steaming pile of bovine excrement. I said, of the 10's of MILLIONS of dollars the city spends annually, you mean to tell me these are the ONLY 4 expenditures that can be cut? No response. 

And when the "survey results" came out, it was proclaimed "by overwhelming majority, residents favor tax increases." There wer no questions regarding tax increases.

I have been polled by local politicians, but they weren't really polls they were advertisements for whoever paid for the "poll"
They start off with regular questions you'd expect on a poll and slowly evolve into an ad for one candidate or another.

Were you aware of the fact that Canidate A is a wonderful, Christian family man? yes or No
Did you know candidate B is a monster who stomps on puppies for fun? Yes or No

I have never been contacted by a real pollster.

I've never assumed that he is a Biden supporter just because he doesn't like Trump.  I think there is an entire thread indirectly dedicated to Smit being a Biden supporter?
