Here's Johnny!

I don't have a vote in the US elections but.... how much truth is there in the political polls the Main Stream Fake Media is pushing?

The fake news seams to have coronated the Harry/Balz duo already....

None.
They poll WHO and WHERE they want to get the results they want.

Like if I polled everyone here if they hate the ohio state buckeyes, it would be almost unanimous with 1 vote for "no" and the rest a "hell yes" then I can post that poll online saying 99.999% of the people hate them.

I wouldn't be wrong though.

Del.

Has anyone here ever been polled on political races?

I personally do not have much faith in the current polls and I have even less faith in the Main Stream Media. They are SO in the bag for the left they don't even hide it anymore. Nearly all of them claim "Independent", the numbers that would admit to voting for a Republican are most likely in the low single digit percentages.

They are still polling the same ways they always have. "Random" phone calls. The people that have phones and pick them up still think the Democrat Party is the party of JFK.

Not once in my 36 years of eligible voting. Nor do I know of a single person that has been polled.

It's not even about the phone calls. You have too look at what they do with the data they receive. If they get data, say, from Missouri, that 60% of the surveyors indicated they were for Trump, They take that data and say, we believe that 75% of Missourians are conservative, so Trump is down 15%.  That's an oversimplification, but I used it to help understand how data is disseminated. The data is all massaged to fit what the pollster believes is the truth. Lots of pollsters all get their data from the same source and then apply that same data differently using their own ideas of what the truth is.

The Harris campaign has been a massive astroturf assault since the second Biden was deposed.
Within minutes of the announcement, X (twitter), Instagram, Tic Toc. Facebook etc were spontaneously flooded with rabidly enthusiastic posts for Harris and "grassroots" pro Harris organizations pooping up
ActBlue received $80 million in donations in about 10 hours and it's only gotten louder since then.
I'm sure some of this enthusiasm is genuine, but I believe a large portion is an orchestrated astroturf
campaign. There is no way all this popped up in a matter of hours... and  ActBlue small donor fraud is a proven fact
even though the liberal press won't touch it.
Many of the huge Harris "rallies" are in fact concerts, with paid celebrities performing and the "audience" being paid to attend.

I don't know how the actual campagign stands right now, but there is no doubt
the Harris social media campaign is beating Trump's like a rented mule

I have said this before and it bears repeating here.

I don't put much stock in any of the MSM polls, i.e., Fox News will always say Trump is ahead, CNN will always say Biden, Harris, or whoever is ahead.

I believe that Rasmussen as a polling organization has been historically the most accurate when you compare their pre-election polling numbers to the actual outcomes.

For that reason, I would believe their numbers are probably going to be closer than anything else.
I think they are currently showing Trump about 5 points ahead of Harris, which seems like a reasonable number for August.

QuoteThere are three kinds of lies; lies, damn lies, and statistics.
Quote attribution is a little problematic. Some say it was Mark Twain, others say is was Benjamin Disraeli. As I've come to find out there are no instances of it in Disraeli's writings and he was not credited until after his death.
Other attributions include but are not limited to Walter Bagehot and Arthur James Balfour, Henry Du Pré Labouchère, Jervoise Athelstane Baines Leonard H. Courtney, and Arthur Wellesley.

Yes, about 15 years ago. The lady had a thick urban accent, spoke stupidly fast and asked probably 40 questions. Had to have her repeat every question 2 or 3 times in order to comprehend what she was asking. After that I haven't had much faith in any poll or survey.

Traditionally the election results were the best gauge for how accurate pollsters were. Now with mail-in-fraud polls are less accurate for the presidential race overall. Another point of contention about the legitimacy of the 2020 election was polling in 43 states was fairly accurate, generally within the same margins as previous elections. In 7 swing states, polling was all over the board and wrong.

I got a survey call on my cellphone last spring and participated, just because I was curious about how they ask them. Some of the questions were so dumb, I wondered all through the phone call who wanted this poll.

One of the questions was: Does the Term RINO have negative connotations or positive?

the term is designed to be negative. How could anyone think it's positive?

The next question was: If Lincoln Hough was labeled a RINO would that make you more likely or less likely to vote for him? I just LOLed at that question. but they insisted on an answer and they didn't give me an option to investigate for myself.

I'm done taking polls.
