I'm amazed at the evolution of forum member's attitudes on covid. Some on either end of the spectrum who haven't budged an iota and a lot of gradual movement towards accepting the current consensus that covid is a real thing and that getting the vaccine is a good thing. :sofa:

Actor, blogger, known for short, comedic videos on Facebook & Twitter. Criticized his treatment at India hospital up until his death from COVID-19. Healthy. Age 35.

Where are you getting the "healthy" from. That article doesn't say a thing about his general health. A quick google doesn't bring up anything either.

So amend it to say relatively healthy.

Was alive, now dead.

All I am saying is without more information as to his health condition, there is no way to say whether the poor hospital care did him in or not. He could have had diabetes, heart disease, or other health condition that makes Covid deadly. In America, the numbers don't lie. The studies that have been done so far show that 95%+ of people that die from Covid had at least one other serious chronic illness. Also, most were overweight. Very few healthy young people are dying from Covid. If Rahul was indeed healthy and died from Covid, he is one of the rare cases, or the Virus has mutated to be more deadly.

So, maybe it was a non COVID related health condition that aggravated his COVID illness? A health condition we cannot find anywhere? Age 35?

He was "probably relatively" healthy.

Heart disease is rare for a 35 year old, so you can probably scratch that one off your list.

I went back and forth trying to decide whether to get a Covid vaccine or to not. I made the decision to get it based on my job and my wife having Lupus.

I got my first jab of Moderna today. Next dose is scheduled four months from today. Canada is delaying the 2nd shot to get more people with their first dose.

didn't you say before that every death was being recorded as covid19

numbers can be twisted to show anything you want it to

Yes, but that just goes along with the point I have been making that Covid doesn't kill healthy people. Covid kills people with other chronic diseases. Many of those people would have died from the regular flu in combination with their other health issues. My response to Dan saying the 35 yo Indian guy was healthy is that if he truly was healthy and died from Covid, it is a very rare case. The numbers show elderly, overweight, and other chronic diseases are factors in the majority of Covid deaths.

What I am going say now is purely anecdotal, but of the 20-30 people that I have known that have gotten Covid in the last year, the people that had the hardest time with it were the most unhealthy. They are the heavier of the group, generally poor eaters, and non-exercising. For the people that exercise regularly and eat healthy, Covid was mostly asymptomatic or like a mild cold. Again, purely anecdotal, but still showing healthy people are not the ones being hurt by Covid.

Out of the dozen or so in this building that had Covid the out of shape individuals had the worst time and were gone for the longer times.

For those who refuse to get vaccinated, where do you stand on someone refusing to work in the same room/building as you? Should they be allowed to work at home if you are there?

How about the other side of the coin ? having to work with all the "experimental vacced" people that are shedding W.H.O. knows what ?
some say the shedding of the vaccinated people is causing side effects in un vaccinated people.
weather its true or not will be determined only by time and truth, both of which seem to be on short supply las of lately.

I'd sure like to see some supporting documentation for this claim.

There isn't.

IMO vaccines are like helmets and motorcycle accidents. Everyone wearing their helmets will not guarantee that they will not get into an accident. It does offer more protection for those that wear it, however it does not guarantee you will not be harmed. Even if everyone is vaccinated it doesn't guarantee you are safe from possible exposure. It also does not guarantee that you can't get Covid. Furthermore, big gov, big pharma, and the media are our there preaching that the vaccine is 95%+ effective. If you are vaccinated then you shouldn't have anything to worry about, right?

Anyone can do the basic math here. As of May 5, appr. 107 million vaccinated. 5% of 107 million = 5.35 million who won't 'dodge' The Virus. That figure will only go higher as more are being vaccinated daily (albeit, at a slower rate now).

This is normal. Yet anti-vaxxers will shout "millions vaccinated still getting COVID".

We already know this, yet many will spin it to fulfill their preconceived notions.

Don't fall for that trap. The data is showing the vaccines are working. They are not perfect. No vaccine ever was. Even the Polio vaccines were not 100% effective, yet as enough of a % got the Polio vaccine - we were able to rid this virus for the most part.

Nope, don't fall for totalitarian dictators being able to restrict your freedom to decide your medical needs, based on a 5% chance you could get a virus after being vaccinated. It won't end with Covid. Every year or two when big pharma needs to line their pockets and politicians need campaign donations from big pharma there will be a new vaccine that "must" be had by all, for our safety.
