I tried to convince my son in law,  back when Colbert was on the Jon Stewart show, that he was making fun of Republicans but he wouldn't believe me.

I haven't watched Colbert's show since he moved tonight but he wasn't laugh out loud funny when he was mocking Repugs. It was funny because the Repugs were knocked off a little bit because something wasn't quite right, then decided he was on their side and agreed with him, like he was a Repug representative on the Daily show, and that was kind of funny.
