I can't say that I don't want to.

I don't want to live past a quality of life. I don't want to have to rely on people to survive. To be a burden.

I don't mind being a pain in the ass.

I just don't want to live to be a burden to someone else.

My Dad shot himself in the head when I as 23. He was 54. I'm 54 now so I can say that I outlived him next year. lol

My mom was shot in the head at 61.

The term I've heard more frequently the last few years is "healthspan" as opposed to "lifespan." My Mom died in December '23 at age 80, and I can say that watching her decline somewhat changed my hopes for "old age" from "of course" to "yes, but only if I'm reasonably able to really live."

We'll see how it goes! I hope everyone here gets their best outcome, too....

For me it's not about how long.. it's about how well. Like @neurosis I don;t want to be a burden. I've always bee a pain in the ass and a piece of shit, but a burden, I will not be.

Where i was born - the local FB group - one of the guys is a local club cyclist.
He still is out timetrialling at 90.
Local motorbike legend Sammy Miller 92, still rides a motorbike every day.
It's all about keeping moving....

That POS comment I made was directed at Incog. I think that's why he's mad at me. There may have been a couple of times over the last 15 years I *may* have thought you were being a butt hole, but POS isn't an adjective that fits you.
