Her intent is the most important part. Her actions were not those of someone trying to kill an ICE agent.
As I said, it may be legal but it was not necessary nor morally justifiable. Now, we've each stated our sides many times and doing it many more times won't change either of our minds.
I'm done.

physically took it yourself.

Cool, now the nutters are blaming AI for their delusions.

Well... Yeah, she hit him. But she wasn't going that fast.

I guess that's progress.

I don't think she really hit hm, if anything it looks like brushed by him. If it even did make contact with him, how fast could she have possibly been going? Nothing about that was life threatening.

In my view the telling action is when the ICE agent took his third shot at her through the open driver's side window. The car was beside the man. The only way that the woman could have injured him at that point would have been to stop driving and attempt to hit him by opening the door. Not much threat anymore.

Moral of the story; stay clear of immigration enforcement operations, stay away from volitaile situations, and mind your own damn business.

Do those things, and it's pretty much a certainty you won't find yourself unalived.

Nobody is changing anyone's mind on this situation.

While I see the logic that you are following here. The flaw in it is that an officer doesn't have time in the moment to consider intent.

He had time to walk in front of the car and switch his cell phone in to the other hand, so his firearm hand was open.

He walked in front of the car....While she was backing up....

How long does it actually take you to switch your cell from one hand to another. Is it faster than guessing what I'm thinking right now?

And why was he on his cell phone in a supposedly life and death situation?

Not legally.

How can the officer, in a split second, discern her intent?

He's in front of the car. She slams it from reverse to drive and guns it.

A reasonable person, in that situation, is justified to believe he is danger of great bodily injury or death.

It proves that either she doesn't know what she's talking about, or she's just lying about the numbers.

Or, she's looking at the numbers one way and he is looking at it another. Remember, there's lies, damn lies, and statistics.  It's entirely possible they are both right, or more likely both wrong.
