Canadians are smarter I guess?

I'd say more like they don't have the mental capacity to appreciate absurdist humor. ;D

That and "Due South".  And the Red Green Show.  (That was my escape while stuck home during pandemic - I watched all 300.)

I feel for the parents of kids that are going through whatever this is. My closest cousin in age has a daughter... she's probably ~22 now. Somewhere in her her tweens~teens she decided she was a boy trapped in a girl's body. Her mother... an abusive  psycho bitch... was totally down for the life altering course of treatment action the "doctors" were prescribing. My cousin had serious questions given what was about to take place and the permanence of it all. He caved to the pressure. He wanted to maintain a good relationship with his daughter and truly believed that if he did not consent it would jeopardize that. So, the girl became a boy. Not surgically, but did the hormone blockers and that whole cycle.

Had dinner with him last month. That was a ROUGH conversation. He told me his daughter asked him recently why he consented to it. Today she regrets the hormone treatments. She's not blaming him, but she did say "Dad, why didn't you fight against it"? She was satisfied with his answer, but she understands the permanence of it all. She now sees the pressure she was put under to make this permanent decision at such a young age. She no longer has a relationship with her mother.

What a disaster this whole trans "thing" is. Instead of identifying the causes in each individual, these so-called professionals are just permanently destroying lives and face zero consequences for doing it. Instead of counseling and waiting things out until they are old enough to fully understand what permanent means (early 20's usually for girls and mid-late 20's for boys), they're just so quick to medicate and operate.

Thanks for proving my point!

If you had said SCTV I would have agreed with you.

Did you also think that the Tragically Hip were a great band?

Mid to late 20's for boys? Not long enough.

I can't  bash them too much but they weren't my cup of tea. Sad about the singer but he certainly seemed to be well liked in Canada
All, in my opinion, of course.

SCTV was legendary. The Hip as they are known by in Canada was an amazing Canadian band. There is a wonderful documentary on Netflix on the band.
