I use an entry license which costs me less in maintenance than a subscription to fusion would cost me, but I had to write dozens of gaps to fill in missing functionality from entry, like flowline and using wcs efficently, since there is only one cplane allowed....

Haven't used it in years myself, not in the game any more.  I do occasionally get asked by an old workplace to come in and troubleshoot when they run into something that is a bit tricky.  That's getting harder as the memory of daily used fades.

What software' are you considering?

Mastercam and Fusion. as far as I know.

If you're getting a four axis mill, you should take a look at TopSolid. Especially if you're doing prismatic parts. Among other things, the drag and drop toolpathing makes short work of anything like that. No creation of WCS's.

To add to this - if you're only doing positional work, you don't need a 4 axis license.  If there is no surfacing or just very simple surfacing (think flowline in mastercam) you can get away with a 2 axis mill license.
I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

At this point we are only 4 axis capable .the axis has as yet not been purchased.
I am hoping for a programming option that will also allow us to program our Haas ST30 with live tooling radial and axially.

Even better. It is rock solid for Mill/Turn. And no extra Mill/Turn license. You have Mill, and you have Lathe. You can program any Mill/Turn, including B axis twin spindle/twin turret. The lathe license even has twin turret (or multi turret for that matter) capability.

No expensive MT addon, and expensive "machine environments"... :)

Please ,Please,Please elaborate!! My foot injury has kept me locked in this apartment. I was looking for any instructional videos.
What I did in advance was get the Free Edition on my Puter at home. Just downloaded it. Gonna start searching in the A.M.
Any help is Greatly appreciated. "A Lannister always pays his debts"

Boss is also gonna buy a new desktop and I'm certain we will get Fusion at this point.

Any advice as I said I'm starting from Scratch.

I use different cam systems based on what the customers need support with.
If I'm programming turn keys, it's generally with Partmaker.

No, ask for an Eval or Evaluation license. The Hobby license will give you CAD capability only.

If you have any grief, let me know :)
