Is it reading actual posted gcode or an intermediary file?

TopSolid doesn't have a G-code verifier. I've heard that they are working on one?  You'd have to ask Mick to be sure.

The software is kinematic aware however so your simulation is pretty accurate. Obviously not perfect.

As far as the machine/posts - one thing that hasn't been brought up, is that the posts and machine definitions aren't free. I'm not going to post the price but if Incog is interested shoot me a PM.  You don't need a machine def necessarily, but it's nice to have one.  TS comes with quite a few built in to the software that you can modify if you have the balls.  There are a couple of people on here who have experience (youdoug?) who could probably answer some simple questions.

Moving the conversation to AD, which it sounds like Incog is leaning toward - they have a shit ton of free posts.  We have a kid at work who is licensed and the code that comes out of it is pretty clean.  Not trying to sway opinions - but you're NOT going to get that with TS.  You pay for posts and maintenance on them if you need post support and you're NOT going to be able to edit them yourself unless you purchase a pretty heftily priced class and license for post mods. Probably my biggest and only complaint about TS

Haven't had the chance. We haven't heard from Harry in a long time. Think he's too high up the totem pole these days to actually talk to customers.
