I work with some great SW Engineers, EE's, Mechanical Eng, and others.
Sometimes I do sense some looking down at me because I don't have a Engineering degree.  It's just the way it's gonna be... 🤷🏻

Yeah, I think this guy is an anomaly. Most engineers I work with are very good. Sometimes the young ones, which seem to be most of them any more, need to do a little learnin' but catch on quickly.

Year 2000 I was Eng manager for 5 years where the boy (owners son), would regularly yell to the production manager "tell those button pushing wankers to do yada yada".
Often in an open office, Inspection, etc etc so everyone knew their place....

You need to tell them "Hey, don't you know who I used to be!"

There was only 1 engineer customer that worked with us on tolerances and whatnot.
He was so damn flexible on everything. I'd ask him about changing something and he rarely said no.
He was old school.

I have a fantastic older Ukrainian machinist - I try not to make his life hard and he helps me look smart (takes a village). I'll throw +.040s on drawings for him just to hear the accented laughs
