16° last night at 6PM. Wife says, I need you smoke a chuck roast for Mississippi pot roast, burger and veggies for chili, oh, and you're cooking smash burgers for dinner. And please toast the buns.

I'm like, honey, it's cold outside.

She's like, get your b!tch a$$ out there and smoke me some meat!

I bundle up, grab my headlamp, and venture out onto the frozen tundra. I fire up my RecTec 700 for smoking and my RecTec Bullseye Deluxe w/griddle for the smash burgers, teeth chattering, beard-cicles developing and these no good POS pellet grills won't even hold their temps at the set points.

My life is so hard.

I got a new outdoor 4gal stainless fryer, I'm doing buffalo wings tonight for a trial run.

Just turned 27lbs of dead deer into 12lbs of jerky.

Next up, I think I'm gonna take a couple of the roasts and make pastrami out of them.

Smoked some armadillo eggs and wings on the SiL's RecTec last week for the IU game.

We had spent several days assembling the three tiny terrorist's Christmas present, a ridiculously large, 3 story, playset on their very sloped yard. My daughter bought a very nice bottle of whiskey and some fine cigars as a thank you for me, the boy kid, and the SiL. We finished construction about an hour before the IU game, giving us time to smoke cigars and have a pregame drink. Sadly, the bottle was gone by the third quarter.

Daytona 500 party last Sunday. Smoked a deer shoulder and some cream cheese for jalepeno poppers. Poppers each got a slice of quail breast and then wrapped in bacon. Good eats...
