Dems have Gavin, who is cherished and respected across the country almost as much as I am cherished and respected on this message board.

Where did they get their strategic advice from? They don't think that has any impact on how average Americans perceive them? Not standing (emotionless) over the little girl (I just mentioned). The Gold medal winning hockey team? The 'protecting American lives and having priority over illegal immigrants (emphasis on "ILLEGAL"0

Really, how do they decide on these non-actions? Can stupid get any more stupid??

It was a really bad look. And they can't blame Trump on that.

You would have had to have watched the speech to have seen those things.

It seems that's the way it is everywhere in the world. You have "conservatives" and "liberals" and nobody likes either very much. But the pendulum keeps swinging and each get their turns to muck things up and get the other party elected again.

I believe the people just get lazy. They don't bother to vote and the other side gets their bases riled up and they win.

But I also believe that the policies the Dems support are more popular than the policies Repugs support. For example, the big beautiful bill that is causing our deficits to skyrocket while putting money in the pockets of billionaires. The ACA is popular with the masses, while "Obamacare" is unpopular. Why is that? :headscratch:

With a few more dems in congress when Obama got the ACA passed we might very well have single payer health care now, but it didn't happen so we're stuck with the same messed up health care we've always had. Well, I mean, it's good if you're healthy or wealthy but otherwise, it's not great.

Just wondering...what do you think is the reason the dems are so unpopular?

The stuff Dan is talking about is political theater. Trying to make "gotcha" moments. It will work on some folks, Trumpers in particular, but not most people. IMHO of course. :)

Funny but true:

MAGA State of the Union recap:

What a world we live in, today, which if you believe the Republican Party's narrative, only white males exist—unless of course one hopped over the gate of your estate with a shot gun only 24 hours earier then he's not real (like birds).

The key take aways were:

-Only brown people commit crimes

-White males are all heroes who get medals

-All women are helpless widows

-The government is going to give you $1000 if you pump out a kid that costs $300,000 to raise, on average

-401ks for all, which I'm assuming I can use to invest my DOGE check, and tariff check, in the list of ongoing things that never happen.

-Epstein survivors don't exist even when they're in the room

-If you say black people are not apes, you'll be physically assaulted by a white man and thrown out of the room

-Tariffs that have brought in $175 billion are going to replace the $5.1 trillion collected in federal taxes each year, at a cost of $30,000 to each tax payer, per year

-Foreign countries pay tariffs even though the whole planet knows this isn't true

-JD Vance is now Scooby Doo and is going to unmask corruption to reveal... JD Vance!

-The Supreme Court is very bad, shameful even and the President will socially shun you if you don't give him what he wants, a great example for petulent children everywhere

-The Vice President looks like he just woke up an in alternate timeline and is confused why literally nothing he's hearing matches the reality he's living in

-The Dow Jones is above 50,000 which is phenomenal unless you point out that it only represents 30 companies, isn't actually a barometer for economic well-being and is largely a symbolic milestone

-The President who "doesn't care about awards" wants a Congressional Medal of Honor, which he's not eligible for because—quite specifically—he's a draft dodger

-Trump's handlers managed to keep Trump lucid for two hours—revealing he can actually act like a normal human being the rest of the time but chooses not to—potentially by withholding his oatmeal.

-It's a great time be white, stupid, delusional, and literally believe anything even though none of it is real, in America.

Did I miss anything?

Supersized!

Is that better? :)

and if a company lags or loses market cap it is conveniently shunted and another takes its place.
