Well I saw the 2nd episode of 'Mare of Easttown' on Monday.
The story definitely gets more interesting!

I'm hooked for the whole series now.

Recorded but haven't watched it yet. Draft tonight, so tomorrow night it is. Good to know it ramps up the story line. You could tell it would after the conclusion of week 1.

  :sofa: I watched a new all black cast Western called
" Ride Mother Fucker Ride! " and a remake of Shogun named " Sho Nuff".

'Mare of Easttown' is getting better every week.
This is a really well-done show.

Someone finally nailed the Philly accent perfectly.
The guy who plays the other detective on the case with Mare is half drunk in one scene, and he absolutely kills the Philly accent to a tee.
Maybe it only sounded right to me because he sounded like a typical drunken Eagles fan in the old Veteran's Stadium?

Anyway, great show.
I highly recommend it.

Only 3 episodes left of 'Mare of Easttown'.
They are building the suspense with each episode, so at this point I hope HBO doesn't short-change the ending.
:cough: Game of Thrones :cough:

The beer saga remains active the series, but apparently the producers of the show were already a step ahead.  There have clearly been bottles of local brew Yuengling Lager in a few scenes, but they were always turned sideways so you could only see half of the label.  :harhar:

I guess it could still be a conspiracy theory for some people.

Mare always has RR in her fridge at home.
But if you saw this week's episode, they were drinking Yuengling Lager in the scene where Mare goes to Zabel's house to discuss the case.
The bottle is still green just like Rolling Rock, but if you look closely, it's Lager.
Like I said, they keep the labels turned partly away, but the Yuengling label has a big eagle on it that is unmistakable.

There are two different Yuengling labels, but both have the eagle.

The Crime of the Century (HBO 2 part series, 2 hours each) was very interesting. Shocking. Wow. Give it a view.

Mad dogs on Amazon is a one season tv show that's pretty good. It's kinda hokey the first few shows and then off and on throughout but it's entertaining.

The Queens Gambit is a very good one season series. Based on a true story. A chess prodigy who fights addiction on her journey to play the worlds best chess players.

Thank God it's not another season of The Santa Carita diet. A dark comedy where Timothy Olyphant plays the confused but loving husband to a zombie.

Series Finale of Mare of Easttown this Sunday. It grew on me. Very well done. Wishing it wasn't a 1 year series. Last couple episodes were really good.

Hacks (HBO MAX exclusive) is really good, living up to the hype and reviews. Stars Jean Smart (who is also Mare's mother). Check it out.
