Saw this on FB and having to deal with MN winters, I felt it is appropriate.

That sounds fine, as long as they don't limit how much gas you get.

I probably shouldn't laugh so hard at these stories.

S.C. woman hoarding gasoline catches on fire after crash

QuoteA South Carolina woman who was hoarding gasoline caught on fire Thursday after her vehicle crashed and burst into flames, authorities said.

The Pickens County Sheriff's Office said the accident occurred after a deputy attempted to stop a 2007 Pontiac G6 with a stolen license plate.

I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

It would get you a third of the way there if you were buying the cheap stuff(87 octane)..

It took $29.50 to fill my car up which was a little over 10.5 gallons.

Something isn't passing the smell test, if you were to hold an oil company hostage and demand a ransom, why the hell would you set the amount to a paltry $5million?

There was a movie I saw last week. Meh, okish. Denzel Washington starred in it. The villain hijacked a train and asked for 10 million dollars. Why only 10 million, they wondered? Because, the event he caused sent gold prices soaring (Manhattan subway train heist rocketed gold prices,...which is BS, actually, markets would yawn at that). The villain made 500 million on a trade he placed before the hijacking (although he dies in the end...never mind that).

This 5 million dollar ask price "smells" like the same as that movie plot to me, Jeff. Gas prices soared. The culprits here may have anticipated that and bought a ton of gas futures.

Or that's my theory...

Are you thinking of that remake he was in with Larry Fishburne? The Taking of Pelham 123?

Denzel and Travolta

Ah. Yes. Denzel good guy, Travolta villain. No Fishburne. He may have been in that similar Denzel train movie.

EDIT: Unstoppable. (better movie than Pelham 123, IMO). No Fishburne. Denzel and Chris Pine (both good guys, I think). A true story.
