The big picture is becoming clearer. Biden's hasty insistence on abandoning Afghanistan was a gift to China in the form of rare earth metals mining. Over the next year or two China will have complete access to these metals. I'd bet that there is a tie to Hunter or other Biden family member and a Chinese corp that is going to make a crap ton of money in Afghanistan.

I don't know that I fully agree with that assessment. It was the graveyard of empires for those looking to conquer or control. However, if China just wants to give them lots of money for mining rights, but allows the Taliban to be the Taliban, it my be different for them.

:Edit: I'll even go further to add that China will acknowledge the Taliban as a legitimate government. They will support and secure their rule in the UN as long as they can buy mining rights.
