Yes, except it will be the Chinese making the Taliban rich, and the Taliban using those riches to plot against the US and Western countries. China has very little troubles with terrorism because they are not afraid to profile and don't care about individual rights like us. Back in the early 2000's when I travelled to China for work several times a year it was a very different attitude. Anyone that wasn't Asian or white was segregated and put through much more strict screening. I watched a fellow employee who happened to be black get pulled out of the customs line and taken into and office. We waited for an hour while they grilled him about who he was and checked his background info. They did the same to an Indian coworker. They also have little concerns over taking lives. If the 911 terrorist attacks would have happened to China, it would have been a very different response. The US sets unrealistic rules of engagement that restricts our response. China would not have those same rules.

We set those ROE's because we let politicians dictate how wars are fought now. If the American people stood up and told these SFB's politicians to stay in their f'n lane, we might actually be able to win a war for a change... something we have not done since WWII.

I'm not suggesting we go full on Mi Lai massacre or anything like that, but in war there just shouldn't be a mountain of paperwork to go along with killing military age males and bad actors in an active battle space. Are innocents going to die in wars? Yes. It's an unfortunate reality. If we cannot stomach accidental loss of innocent life, then perhaps we should seriously examine if we should enter into war in the first place.
