I think Tim Russert holds that title.

Candy crowly for (incorrectly) arguing with Mit Romney.
Funny how all these just happen to be against Republicans.

Hey! Smit.  nice to hear from ya!  Where DOES one go to find honest news? I mostly listen to CBS to get one side and visit Foxnews to get the other side. Every news story is like a prosecuter and defendant case, seems like, and here I am juror trying to tell whose lying.

Quote from: YoDoug post_id=19657 time=1639408224 user_id=58IMO, the problem is too much news. On any given day there is about 20-30 minutes of news to report. In order to fill a 24/7 news cycle they have to add "opinion". In the ratings competition they have to "one up" the other broadcasters. This leads to the activism journalism that is rampant at all news outlets.

Exactly! I have been saying this since CNN first went on air back in 1980. How much "news" could they broadcast 24/7?

Same thing with ESPN. At least when ESPN started they filled programming with unwatchable sporting events. Eventually transcending to filling their programming with ridiculous non-sense.

If you're watching TV I'm not sure where you'd go. I watch local news on occasion but none of the cable "news" shows.

If you turn off the TV try reading Reuters or AP news. They are both good news sources, IMO. The head lines are non-provocative and the language is pretty neutral for the most part.

Del.

TV?  Never heard of it.

Jeff

ROFL the AP is neutral?

I don't understand the attack of Foxnews people who texted Meadows pleading with him to have Trump speak out on capital riot. What did they do wrong?

They were acting like the capitol riot wasn't a big deal while behind the scenes, freaking out Trying to get Trump to condemn what was going on. Proof that they're full of shit.

Del.

That's not what I saw. They all condemned it.

neurosis

They may have after some time passed and there was enough evidence that there was no other choice but to call it what it was.

I watched them blame everyone from Antifa, to the Democrats, to <insert popular deflection here>.   It seemed like for at least two weeks, they deflected all blame from Trump supporters and Trump.

edit: When I say "Trump Supporters" I don't mean anyone who supports Trump. I mean the "Trump Supporters" who were responsible for breaching the Capitol building.
