Quote from: Dan_AKA_ROY23 on January 09, 2022, 09:19 AMTakes 10 days or a little more for most. At least for my nephew and his wife. (very minor symptoms, never got sick... tested positive for like 10 days)

Ok, guess I'll give it a few more days.  I feel 99%, family friends and some coworkers act like I have the plague.
This shit is getting old.

QuoteWell this is day 8 after first symptoms.  Haven't had any kind of fever for 3 or 4 days now.
Just took a rapid test and it came back Positive...WTF

We have had it here. Wife, daughter and I. We have been told a couple of different times that you can test positive for up to 90 days. We were told that after 10 days if you have no more symptoms and feel good you are good to go.

February of 2020 we had family here for my 60th BD. Everyone got sick, think it came from Chicago with family. There were no tests at that time. Different kind of sick than any I have felt. Only speculating but damn it was strange. Got vaccinated in April 2021. Got sick again on Dec.23rd this year, I'm sure it was Covid but we can't get any at home tests and getting an appointment was 3 weeks out. What's the point? Spent all of Xmas with a scratchy throat, NO fever but was fatigued the whole time. Probably slept 16 hours a day. Strange feeling that.Fine now.

Most likely you got Omicron. Glad you're better now. Affects everyone a little different (or a lot). Vaccine probably helped reduce your symptoms.

This morning one of my guys tells me that his 9 year old son has covid. I don't know the kid's vaccination status.

The guy had a negative rapid test so he came to work with the boss's permission. Ten minutes ago he tells me that he needs to go home because his son has a 104.5 fever and is going to the hospital.

I just talked to a guy today who got Covid while fully vaxed (two jabs then) and just came back from his second stint while currently fully vaxed. Both times his wife also caught it while fully vaxed. Both are 65+ in age and neither went to the doctor because they didn't feel the need to.

In more not good news my daughter, who lives in Florida came down with covid during the weekend. Keeping my fingers crossed with that one as she has health issues.

I started getting sick and tested positive for Covid on Dec 17th. It took about two weeks before I was feeling mostly back to normal. Yesterday was about 3.5 weeks, I did my first workout since before getting sick. My normal lunchtime workout is about 50-55 minutes of mixed strength/conditioning and cardio. Yesterday I only made it about 25 minutes until my lungs were screaming. It's amazing how fast you can lose your fitness level from something like Covid. This evening I am planning on going to BJJ for the first time in a month, planning to take it easy and not go full grappling mode.

The owner of the shop I work for, his brother just got covid for the second time. He had covid about a month ago. His symptoms weren't too bad. He just tested positive again last weekend.

Not vaxed (not that it matters anymore).  It doesn't sound like he is very sick.  He's also not a very healthy person. He's has cancer in his spine and is on a laundry list of medication.
I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

Why are we even refering to it as re-infection?
Isn't it just like a cold or flu?
Do we say re-infection in those cases?

and that's EXACTLY what I was driving at when I started this topic...

You can get the flu, a cold and a myriad of other things over and over.....why was this, covid" thought to be any different?

I think I missed that day in class
