I'm making a few tool companies a lot of money today.
I've been ordering tools for some up coming jobs most of the day.
I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

Today I'm working on the Toyota Sequoia: a mold for the sound insulation pad on the rear floor...I love seeing cars on the road and saying: I helped make that!

Enjoy the work you have now. The big business globalists (Biden's, Romney, Pelosi, McConnell, etc.) are taking bids on your work. Biden will roll back all of Trump's trade foreign policy to the Obama/Bush days and the flood of jobs heading offshore will begin shortly.

Yeah, Obama was really bad for our industry (mold and pattern making for the auto industry): so much of it went to China...hate to see that happen again. If Trump just hadn't been such an ass to so many people, I think he would have been a shoe-in for re-election because I agree with you on some of the other threads that his policies were far superior to Obama and even Bush before him...

I hope I am wrong but I think it will happen. In 2008/2009 when the economy tanked and it was clear that Obama's policies were not going to be good for MFG, I was worried. Then I lost my job. Luckily we had decent equity in our house so we were able sell and move to where I was able to find a job. The next few years were a struggle. My wife became one of those crazy coupon shoppers and that helped us get back on track. Ultimately that is why I decided to go back to college to finish an engineering degree. I didn't want to be caught "flat footed" the next time things turned south for MFG. Presently, I now have that degree and a few years of solid experience working as a controls and automation eng. We also took advantage of the great earnings over the last few years (party from new position and party from great economy) to pay down our debts. I am hoping that my expanded job functions will keep me employed in automation if manufacturing takes a big hit. There will still be a big push for automating food production, pharma, retail, etc.

Going on vacation next week. When I get back, I will be building investment casting molds for ITAR SENSOR and ITAR SENSOR. Military spending will keep me busy this year!
