Quote from: neurosis on May 26, 2022, 06:21 AMI would much rather see someone with the ability to dismantle their opponents policy logically and be able to make coherent arguments supporting their own policy.

Oh you mean like the Dems do on things like the 2nd Amendment?
Yeah, let me know when a liberal makes a logical, coherent argument there and I will listen.
The vast majority of them choose to throw temper tantrums, and some will even burn down a city when they don't get their way.

And of course, when tragedy strikes as it did in Texas this week, page 1 of the liberal playbook is to politicize it, stir up everyone's emotions into a frenzy, and then use the tragedy IN PLACE OF the aforementioned logical and coherent argument.

You want logical and coherent?
The 2nd Amendment contains the literal words: "...THE RIGHT OF THE PEPOLE..." yet liberals like Biden make idiotic comments like the other day when Biden said: "The 2nd Amendment is not absolute."

Words like "RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE" and "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED" are absolute statements in plain English, period.
If you don't like it, there is a built-in process to repeal it.

Have you ever heard of liberals trying to actually use the process to repeal the 2nd Amendment, rather than kicking and screaming about it, and politicizing it every chance they get?
Me neither.
Let me know when that logical, coherent conversation takes place and I will gladly join in.

Quote from: neurosis on May 26, 2022, 06:54 AMSo how does the shit slinging solve that problem in any way? I don't see how making yourself look like a petulant child solves a corruption problem.

I watched some of Trumps rally's.  He might as well have stood there for 2 hours saying nothing more than "we need more electrolytes".  (president camacho reference)

shit slinging doesn't solve it, and I don't care for that aspect of Trump. However, I still think he is one of the only major R politicians that could withstand the full Dem smear machine.

"Duh, it's got electrolytes because it's what plants crave". It is scary how prophetic that movie was. You watch that scene and think how could people so dumb get into that power, but then you hear Kamala Harris at a press conference and you think, we are almost there.

As I said earlier, the dems will burn this country to the ground to prevent another Trump Administration.
The depths to which they went to steal the 2020 race only illustrates their contempt for the rule of law
and their determination to force their will on the entire nation
The Dems are in power now and still burning this country to the ground. In my opinion they're doing this on purpose. I'm thinking in their minds this is the only way to create a one world government. Look at how many countries are becoming socialist. The Dems want this country to be one also.

I thought that we were talking about Trump vs DeSantis?  :D  When did the liberals get involved?

There are several liberals that I can't stand listening too either. Pelosi has to be one of the most disingenuous people in politics. Adam Schiff is another. I have no idea how some of these people continue to get re-elected year after  year when it's obvious that they don't give a crap about anyone but themselves. Paying lip service seems to all you need to be in politics these days.

I hate to say it, but Andrew  Yang is probably one of the only politicians right now that I believe that he believes what he say's. Had to be careful with the wording there.

I don't support most of his policies, but he's at least attempts to be honest when he speaks. That's probably why he got literally zero media coverage.

After admitting that I'll just shut up and go back to hiding now.  :D  :sofa:

IMO, that is the biggest threat we face as Americans. I'm not one to believe in crazy "Illuminati" type theories, but I see the signs of a globalist push from big corps and the wealthiest people. America is just one profit center for these global corps and what is good for the American people is not always good for global profits.

You'd have to show me how that is for me to get on board with it.

I've listened to the guy being interviewed probably a dozen times. Some of his policy is based on things that could potentially happen in the Country and he fully believes that we are on that path.  I'm not conditioned to agree with quite a bit of what he say's, but I understand where he's coming from and I don't believe for one second that he's a "mao'ist" in any way.  I guess depending on what you mean by "mao'ist".

In a Country where anyone left of a full blown libertarian is a Rino, and anyone left of a Rino is a communist; in that respect, I guess he is a commie.   when I think Commie, I think about people like Kshama Sawant here in Seattle. She is a full blown Commie.

Ron Desantis would be a better choice.

Yes, that is one of the main problems with American politics.
Anyone too far outside of the mainstream D or R paradigm becomes irrelevant.
Although that seems to be changing as the Democratic party seems to have shifted the middle to the left, and the left to the far left.
The Greenies have taken over that party, and nobody will stand up to them.

I also thought the same thing about Andrew Yang.
I appreciated his honesty, but could never vote for him.
