Was in KC with our boy kid, his GF, and the maybe, possibly, someday, future inlaws. Kid cooked us all steaks. Sorry, no pics.

We host dinner on the porch with friends every other Wednesday in the summer. Last night was Pizza night...

Dough is from our favorite local pizza joint. Wife, former employee of said pizza joint, gets the dough whipped into shape. I slide them on the grill one at a time while she rolls out the next one. I cook them on HIGH, about 550 degrees, for 3 minutes. Take it inside and grab them next one. When friends show up we flip them cooked side up and everybody tops their own. I can get three at a time on the grill. Cook about 5 minutes at 550. Next time I'll try it a little longer at a little lower temp to try and get the cheese to brown up a bit.

They get scarfed up too fast for a good after pic, my own included. Prosciutto, sausage, mushrooms, black olives, onions, fresh mozzarella, and anchovies...

Bought me an Oklahoma Joes smoker yesterday. Smoking some pork chops for first cook. A couple of butts later next week. I'm an old school smoker and grill guy

I've been thinking about getting one of those flat top grills. I haven't decided for sure yet, but my current bbq is about due for replacement.

I noticed how you separated "Old school smoker" and "Grill Guy". 8)

Kids got me a griddle for my small pellet grill for Father's Day. Finally had time to get it seasoned on Saturday. It's carbon steel, not cast iron, but it seasoned just like cast iron. 200 degrees for an hour, then up to 500. I wiped grapeseed oil on it with a rag every 15-20 minutes until it turned black. Probably 8 coats of oil...

Sunday morning cooked bacon, eggs, and hashbrowns...

Sunday night, burgers-n-tots...

Got a couple of butts on the smoker.

Keep adding charcoal and wood and rotating meat. You know, what real men do when cooking outdoors.  :)

Cooked a little for a friend who was throwing a party. Some queso, couple butts, armadillo eggs, and 90+ wings.

I may have achieved pizza perfection with this round. A little sad I didn't have a better beer to pair with it...

Smoked some red taters and garlic cloves for awhile, boiled to finish, and mashed. Fried up some blackened walleye on the griddle.

Oh, and those cheeks.:faint:

Just that one?

You goin Doug on us?

Those smoked/mashed red taters are seriously fantastic. I doubt I'll ever make regular mashed taters again.

  They all look good.  That last one made me hungry for mashed potatoes.  I've never had walleye before so I'm not sure about the fish.
