this is true.. I cancelled about $3k/year of reoccurring purchases from Amazon.com yesterday
and closed my Facebook account in December.
If I had a Twitter account, it would be gone too.

I use Parler... not fopr what most (I'm guessing) use it for. It is/was handy as a new feed. I've got friends that are active. I'm not at all.

I deleted my FarceBook account 12:01am October 1st when they rolled out their new TOS. When I am the product, I dictate the terms. If I chose to not agree/abide by them, I will take my ball elsewhere. What cemented the decision for me was I was a member of a closed group (A firearms group). A question was posed "Just asking the peeps out there, what were Pre-COVID ammo prices like for the calibers you shoot? I'm a new firearms owner and I have no frame of reference." So I replied with the calibers I shoot )9mm, 5.56, .30-06, .338 Lapua Magnum, 20 Gage and 12 Gage. I was not offering anything for sale. Not even hinting at it. Not advising anything illegal, immoral, unethical, ill advised, or even remotely distasteful, just posting 100% legal and lawful information that was probably available in a number of other venues most likely. My post was blocked by FarceBook. I though there must be some mistake so I appealed. 20 minutes later, appeal rejected, and not even a way to talk to a piece of crap FarceBook employee.

So, screw them. They no longer get to use my information.

Jim are we getting our threads mixed up? This is about Parler, not Trump's rally/riot for which he is going to be impeached, again. You, Gcode and others seem to take the same stand since Trump didn't utter the specific words, and yet, those at the rally clearly had a different take on it because the moment he was done, they went down the street, breached the Capitol building and looted it. I guess I kind of take their opinion of it over yours, but I guess I could be wrong.

As for Parler, I've seen multiple screen shots of it on my wife's Facebook feed, posted by horrified or supportive friends (as the case may be) which call for mass insurrection and a refusal to allow the inauguration of the incoming Biden administration. I just watched a video this morning of a delusional man who has 'inside government sources' who assured him and his listeners that Trump is going to declare Marshall law and now that the riot revealed all the traitors, including Pence and McConnell, Trump will be able to make a clean sweep of them and restart the Republic without them. So, you better stock up for a couple of weeks until order is restored and the government is safely back in Trump's hands. Do you live in a big city? If so, you may be screwed. My little town will probably peacefully pass away the insurrection/marshall law....

(I guess I better add, sarcasm off, to that last part just in case anyone thinks I believe this..)

I don't know how many people attacked the Capitol but I'd be surprised if it was more than 3 hundred
I also believe a large percentage of that 300 were actually antifa and blm agitators
It will be interesting to see the backgrounds of the people arrested, though I suspect that if their background
does not fit the narrative, we will never know.

Just like the peaceful protesters in Seattle, Portland, etc...

A few who were only there for the burning and looting gave the incorrect impression the whole group was doing the same.

There were ANTIFA and BLM supporters among those in Washington on Wednesday, because my sister and her husband actually talked to a few of them.

And I will take the opinion of someone who was ACTUALLY THERE over any media outlet.
Your portrayal of the crowd rushing from the Trump speech to the Capitol and breaching it is NOT the way it went.

A FEW troublemakers started knocking down barriers and actually entering the building, while the vast majority were there to simply be heard.

I ACTUALLY personally know a family of 4 that WAS there and I actually spoke with them with my mouth over the phone... none of this I saw a feed somebody screenshot, because they agreed/were horrified bovine feces.

Sharing that unverified crap, does NOTHING but feed trolls and give purpose to useful idiots.
