I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

It's kind of like SolidWorks with the CAD Centric concepts like creating a sketch then a brep body for a solid, etc, I've heard good things about the performance and support of the software, it might be a difficult transition from something like Mastercam, but not so bad..

I'm still laughing from most of the responses!!

But yea I picked up the CAD Centric. I am of course more curious of the Machining side. Capabilities, Tooling preferences, user friendly apps. and ease of use.

It was a stretch to get it in our small shop, But a friend of the owner came in with a few jobs and said "can you do it"? and I said "of course"...."If I have this and if I have that" I quoted MCX and his asshole puckered. So I said "ok how bout you just get out of the 1980's"? soooo we are getting a new computer and dual monitors. My Boss says of course. "I don't even have dual monitors" and I said "Porn and Facebook don't require them" I pulled a few of my old MCX programs up and showed him the amount of code required and asked him. "Two fingers at a time how long to program this"??

Thanks for the input baby. ;D

The rest of you guys???

I hope it snows tomorrow at your work....... :)

I do for certain projects. Curve for me was pretty short.

It blows most CAM systems' CAD away. It's obviously not as powerful as say SW or Inventor and obviously the CATIA. Creo, NX are WAY more powerful.

For the price though, you just are not going to beat it... for the right kind of work. They will have the Module Works 5-Axis paths soon. Currently the only real negatives are the your data is in the cloud, you can't own it, it HAS to phone home (i.e. be online ever so often).

and if you can't pay the rent you can't use it and you can't access your data
in other words, you are out of business

So there is no way possible to store files locally with Fusion?
