It's funny how right after the so called experts were caught fudging the data to show a warming trend all of a sudden the climate doomsayers changed the name for their religion to 'change'.
thanks obama

this will be caused by .gov stupidity, not global climate change
large portions of the 3rd world will be having food storages soon because war caused by disruptions to the Ukrainian
wheat harvest.
Just yesterday, the Netherlands announced they would be seizing and shutting down 3000 farms to meet Eurozone
carbon mandates...it will be interesting to see what they build on those seized farms
And here in Cali they have just about destroyed the dairy industry, replacing it with hundreds of square miles of
McMansions and warehouses.

It will be caused by the current farming practices of big agri-business. They are destroying the land in the name of cheap corn/soy. in our children's lifetime a huge portion of current cropland will be barren land incapable of growing. The Till/synthetic-fertilize/pesticide growing model is not sustainable. They will continue to make even more highly modified GMO crops to try to make it work, which will continue to cause all kinds of chronic illness, and eventually it will fail.

Yeah I agree can't grow a lot what we buy that is fresh because of the genetic alternations made to them. In Brazil you can still buy fresh un altered food. Best I felt was spending two weeks there than I have felt in years. My wife and our oldest was there a month and they could tell the difference. The oldest who has a lot of allergies had no issues there eating whatever she wanted.

Agreed, listening to the Will Harris interview on Rogan should open alot of eyes about the current state of farming.

I was kayaking down the Blue Earth River near Mankato last year with some friends and one of them was a local farmer. He was complaining how dirty the water was (literally chocolate milk) and saying when he was a kid it was crystal clear. I said well we can blame that on all the chemicals dumped on the fields and drain tile pouring into the river. He literally went off reciting all the BS sales literature and how there is no link between any of it. I wasn't gonna get into a debate on a leisurely kayak so I just paddled off shaking my head. But that's literally how 99% of farmers think, they believe everything is safe and environmentally friendly but it is far from.

There are already climate change refugees.  Real world, people having to abandon their homes as the ocean level has risen.

Yes, some places get colder as others get warmer, and as the global average gets warmer.  The jet stream used to keep the polar air up North, now it's bringing it much further South.

"But it's cold out today, global warming has to be a hoax!" has about as much basis as when so many on eMastercam were claiming Covid was a hoax because no one they knew was sick yet.

Isle de Jean Charles, Louisiana for one.  People lived there for centuries, and now it's going underwater.

Louisiana is losing a lot of land year over year.

The Louisiana swamps have been fully mismanaged by allowing oil and gas companies to clear-cut areas and dredge canals for pipelines. They are losing acres of land an hour because there is no more vegetation to hold everything together. The lack of vegetation and land now allow seawater in to begin killing more vegetation. Sea levels rising is such a tiny part of the conversation its almost negligible to the issues in Louisiana.

It's the primary factor for the islands though.

I love how the media writes stories about events and if anything can be attributed to climate change (even just a tiny fraction) that's the headline.

This week up north on Upper Red Lake a bunch of ice fishermen got stranded for a short time on a large chunk of ice that broke off and floated from shore. It made national headlines because they found a way to mention global warming. No way it could have been caused by it being the beginning of the ice season and the lake not being fully locked up yet, the ice still being thin, and the wind direction changed quickly pushing that chunk of ice away from land. But they didn't mention any of that, they said that key buzzword GLOBAL WARMING!

So Matt your much more knowledgeable than I on science. I di a quick search on your statement that people are fleeing the rising oceans. Couldn't really find anything current but plenty of articles on the future. Did come across this article. It is an opinion piece but the guy that wrote it is a scientist. What are your thoughts on his take?

I didn't say that climate change isn't happening or doesn't affect some people, I said the threat of mass crop failure and starvation or anti-biotic resistant bacteria pose far more threat to the majority of humans. you can move people away from flooded areas, you can't move people away from starvation if there isn't enough food. You can't move people away from a pandemic. That's my whole problem with liberal politicians. If they were actually honest about the real issues and posed realistic solutions I might actually vote for them. However, they just use the issues to garner more power and provide kickbacks to their corp cronies that help them get elected. In the meantime the legislation they propose reduces my freedom and hurts my financial well being while not actually solving "climate change". Now don't get me wrong, the R's are just as much in the pocket of big corps, the only difference is the policies they propose generally mean more freedom for me and more financial benefit for my family.

This is the biggest problem I have with our local politicians.  All they do is talk and raise taxes. They keep promising that they'll be able to solve all of these issues if only we were willing to contribute more. Then they do dumb things like hire a crack addicted ex pimp to be the Seattle street czar.  It didn't take a genius to figure out that this turd was going to take full advantage of the 100k plus a year salary and run.

After 50 years of liberal control in this State, schools haven't gotten any better. Homelessness issues are getting worse. Crime is worse. Business owners who helped get these shit wads elected, go to the Seattle city council to voice their concerns and the council is rude and dismissive of their concerns.

I'm not a fan of what's happening with the Republican party right now, but I can see that, at least locally, the "progressives" don't give a shit about what they preach daily or the people they are supposed to represent.

I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.
